In 2024, humangear is introducing GoBites Bio: the strongest, most award-winning and patented, plant-based utensils ever designed.

The GoBites line is famous for ultra-durable utensils like the award-winning GoBites Uno. While plant based materials have been available for a long time, it has never been possible to match the performance and durability of the original GoBites utensils...until now.

The GoBites Bio material is sustainably harvested from crops that don’t trade off with local food supplies and are irrigated via natural monsoons, lessening the need for water-intensive irrigation. But, its most innovative feature is its performance. Unlike other plant-based plastics that are either overly flexible or overly brittle, the GoBites Bio material is a next-generation polymer that matches performance only previously seen in petroleum-based composites. In controlled testing, the GoBites Bio Uno is up to ten times stiffer than similar utensils made from recycled plastic such as “Eco” recycled polypropylene, and it can be used in higher temperatures before melting -- perfect if you’re cooking in the outdoors.

The first items in the GoBites Bio product line will be the Bio Uno and the new K/F/S knife, fork, and spoon set. K/F/S includes three full-sized utensils that hang on a carabiner along with an “anti-jangle” clip to keep everything neat and tidy when clipped to the outside of backpack.

Of course, all GoBites Bio products will carry humangear’s unconditional lifetime warranty, and they are BPA-free, PC-free, and phthalate-free.
